Charlize Theron is a South African actress who gained American citizenship (dual citizenship) in 2007. She began her career with a non-sepeaking role in a straight-to-video Children of the Corn film in 1995, and then went on to act in feature films like The Cider House Rules, The Devil's Advocate and finally, Monster in 2003, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress. In 2011, she starred in the feature film Young Adult.
