Geoffrey Rush is an Australian actor and film producer. He is one of the few people who have won the "Triple Crown of Acting": an Academy Award, a Tony Award and an Emmy Award. He was the foundation President of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts in 2011. He was the 2012 Australian of the Year. Rush was a stage actor before moving onto films. Rush made his film debut in the Australian film Hoodwink in 1981. He has appeared in over 60 films, including such titles as; Shine (1996), Oscar and Lucinda (1997), Elizabeth (1998), Shakespeare in Love (1998), Quills (2000), Frida (2002), Finding Nemo (2003), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Harvie Krumpet (2003), Munich (2005), The King's Speech (2010), and The Book Thief (2013).
