Jackie is a 2016 biographical drama film directed by Pablo Larraín and written by Noah Oppenheim. The film stars Natalie Portman as the titular character, following her life after the 1963 assassination of her husband John F. Kennedy. Peter Sarsgaard, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup and John Hurt also star. The film was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival and was released in the United States on December 2, 2016 by Fox Searchlight Pictures.
