Jill Clayburgh was an American actress. She received Academy Award nominations for her roles in An Unmarried Woman (1978) and Starting Over (1979).  She gained attention with her role as the love interest of Gene Wilder in the 1976 comedy-mystery Silver Streak.

Clayburgh had chronic lymphocytic leukemia for more than 20 years before dying from the disease at her home in Lakeville, Connecticut, on November 5, 2010. The 2011 film Bridesmaids was Clayburgh's final theatrical appearance.
