John Mathiesonis a British cinematographer who emerged out of the music video industry of the late 80's and 90's. He began his career as a camera assistant. He gained recognition for his music video "Peek-A-Boo" by Siouxsie and the Banshees until he came to the attention of director Tony Scott.
