The Bridge on the River Kwai is a 1957 British WWII film set in Thiland. The film follows a platoon of British soldiers in a Japanese Prisoner of war camp who are ordered by the commandant to build a bridge on the river Kwai. One of the most memorable features of this film was the Colonel Bogey March whistle that was used by British prisoners who entered the camp. The film starred Alec Guinness as Colonel Nicholson, an officer in the British Army who conflicts with the commandant reguarding the Geniva Convention.
